How to Make a cardboard shield

Dec 16, 2009 08:45 PM
Two decorative shields, one circular with a gold dome and one rectangular featuring a gold cross design.

In this tutorial you'll learn how to make a cardboard shield, quickly and cheaply. All you need is some stuff you've probably already got around the house. Get to work, so you'll be ready to defend yourself against any barbarian invaders with cardboard swords!

Materials needed:

Cardboard

Posterboard

Paints

Cutting tools

Glue sticks

Tape

1. Cut out your cardboard and posterboard in the shape of your shield.

2. Paint the posterboard. The cardboard is nice and strong, but the the posterboard has a better appearance than the cardboard.

3. Use a glue stick to affix the pasteboard to the cardboard.

4. Make the handles out of cardboard and duct tape them to the back of the shield.
